Carley Corporation (12/04 – Present)
Software Engineer; Responsibilities included:

  • Created web-based courseware development tool/content management system to be used internally by Instructional Designers to develop SCORM compliant HTML SCOs.
  • Created internal Employee Information Center for employees to better know their co-works and find teammates that meet project requirements.
  • Programmed computer simulation software for the US Navy centering on electronic engineering: (1) Series, Parallel, Series-Parallel Troubleshooting, (2) Microprocessor Troubleshooting, (3) Basic Electronics Troubleshooting
  • Programmed multiple tools (such as oscilloscope and digital multimeter) to be used in simulations.
  • All simulations and digital tools had to operate as they would in real life to allow for freeplay by students. Example: Incorrect DMM measurements could short a circuit, oscope waves had to render correctly.
  • Key technologies used: PHP, MySQL, HTML, Javascript, Flash, Photoshop

Freelance (01/04 – 12/04)
Lead Developer for Property Systems of Georgia Intranet; Responsibilities included:

  • Create a system to allow the management of employees, their intranet access privileges, and duties.
  • Create a very robust system to allow tracking of all items associated with managing real estate properties.
  • Create systems to allow data for a real estate property to be used to keep potential buyers up-to-date on the process.
  • Create other tools to allow for the upkeep of information on the pubic web site.
  • Create a calendar system that allows for personal entries and the tracking of important dates for real estate properties.
  • Work directly with the CEO of Property Systems to ensure the intranet covers all aspects of his business.

Image Technical Services (08/01 – 01/04)
Lead Developer; Responsibilities included:

  • Created a Project Management Intranet to track Projects, Clients, and Employee Time.
  • Interacted extensively with clients to develop creative ways to solve their business needs and keep them posted on a projects status.
  • Ensured all work meets visual and performance standards and initiated a project checklist for internal proofing.
  • Ensured projects were completed on time and within budget and solved problems that arose during production.
  • Managed and helped inspire the creative and programming teams.
  • Created proposals and design documents for possible new clients.
  • Created initial design and/or functionality for most projects.
  • Developed internal/external business opportunities.
  • Developed backend tools to help the AV side of the company.

    • A large, 3 Disc CBT for the US Army
    • A dynamic creation tool that allowed custom CD-Rom Brochures to be easily created for Lanier Worldwide.
    • A very large parent resource web site for the Georgia Association of Educators.
    • Various other marketing based web sites.
    • Various logo and print designs.

Russell Corporation (8/92 – 7/97)
Multimedia Designer; Responsibilities included:

  • Created Russell Athletics very first web site.
  • Created multimedia driven kiosks for customer use at tradeshows.
  • Created T-Shirt and Cap graphics for seasonal product offerings.
  • Created catalogs, POP items, and other printed material.
  • Began career with Russell as a co-op student and worked my way up to a specially created position for myself as Multimedia Designer.
